I’m a product manager at Google, working on LLM-based search. Before that I was at Meta and Uber.

Earlier I worked on Sessions at Academia.edu, a discussion product for peer review, and designed the consumer and merchant apps at Fivestars. Before that I co-founded Plasmyd, a search and discussion platform for scientists. I studied at UCSD.

I’ve run a few hundred user interviews, and most of what I write here comes out of that habit: product work, research method, and lately the question of where economic rewards actually end up.
